No postmark with gum (MH): $750-$1,750
Full perfect gum, no postmark, no trace of stamp hinge mark (MNH): No recorded sales
A certificate from stamp expertisers such as the PSE, would be required if interested in selling this issue.
Copies sold without a certificate will almost certainly command prices 65% lower than those sold with a certificate
This re-issue series was printed on HARD white paper, unlike the original which was printed on soft porous white paper.
The re-issue had no grill, whilst almost all the original issue had a grill. I say almost all because there are a very few
which were printed without a grill (suffixed by Scotts with the letter a after the catalog number), these also require a certificate.
I should mention that the grills impressed onto the stamps can be very faint, almost to the point of being invisible to the naked eye,
verification that the stamp has no grill and therefore catapulting the price, needs to verified by an expert who will then issue
a certificate confirming of denying its authenticity.
