This is another variety of coil waste, but unlike #579 it had lot previously been perforated. These were therefore perforated both horizontally and vertically on flat bed machines especially set to take this type of sheet.
The total supply was very limited and as most dealers and. collectors who had knowledge of their having-been issued failed to obtain sufficient copies while current it his become scarce. Today, many collectors fail to notice this variety as the perforations are the same as the flat plate issue and the only obvious difference is in the width, as these were from sidewise coils. Furthermore most of the copies being very poorly centered they were used for postage and discarded.
