PLATE 5 - Only five sheets of 240 stamps were printed, one as Imprimatur's. and the other four were destroyed. None were put into circulation. In1887 36 of these were perforated. (rows K,L,M and N) of which only 16 were released. There are no Plate 5 used.
1865 9p straw, Plate 4, tied by "E.C. 73" duplex, with London June 1, 67 cds alongside, on cover "via Belgium" to St. Petersburg, "Aus England Per Aachen" on front and "Eydtkuhnen" transit on back, various charge markings and endorsements, filing folds away from the stamp, single franking to Russia, with arrival pmk (SG 98)
